The Myhiya rapids are a fantastic place for boating by catamaran, kayak or boat. The village of Myhiya is located in Buzkiy Hard National Park, previously known as the Granitno-Stepove Pobuzhzhia Nature Reserve. Extreme, exciting river rafting on catamarans follows an established route and is accessible to all.

Combining elements of surfing and sailing, with a good wind, windsurfers can achieve high-speed gliding over the water.

Kiteboarding

Kitesurfing or kiteboarding are two forms ofextreme water sports in which the surfer rides on the water on a board with a kite. At an altitude of 10-40 meters above the water, the kite flies higher than a windsurfer’s sail, which means it can catch more even and stable air currents. Surfers can ride the board on the water and use the power of the kite’s tension to perform jumps, tricks and figures in the air above the water. This sport combines gliding over the waves with a sense of flight, making it extremely exciting.
Kitesurfing is becoming more and more popular in Ukraine and specifically in Mykolayiv Oblast, with its natural advantages. Combining mild waves and a flat bottom with seasonal winds, Mykolayiv Oblast’s coastline is perfect for water sports, attracting surfers and tourists from all over Ukraine.
Water skiing, wakeboard

This type of surface water sport involves a motorboat pulling the skier across the water attached by a cable. The skier glides over the surface on two or one skis, depending on whether they want to slalom. Water skiing requires a sufficiently large body of relatively smooth water, skis, the right kind of rope and winch, three participants, and PFD. Of course, the water skier needs to be sufficiently strong and resilient, and have good sense of balance. Still, people of any age and level of training can easily enjoy this sport.
Fishing

Fishing on the Southern Buh is popular among fishing buffs not only from the surrounding areas, but also from other parts of Ukraine.
The waters of the Southern Buh teem with a great variety of fish, such as carp, bream, common roach, common rudd, European chub, pike, doctor fish, perch, gudgeon, sunbleak, common bleak, barbel, catfish, and turbot. Sometimes Black Sea roach, and more rarely sturgeon, whitebait, eels, sabrefish, beluga, and vimba enter the river from the Black Sea and the estuary.
