Here, the rocky shores are covered with lush green trees and tall grasses, and rapids that come straight out of the water, scattered with stones, rapids, wetlands, and even an old, dilapidated dam.

Rafting on the Southern Buh rapids between Myhiya and Hrushivka offers many refreshing and thrilling moments that allow the rafters to feel that they have conquered nature. Here is one of Europe’s best natural trails for Integral water slalom—the Red Gate rapids.

Kitesurfing or kiteboarding are two forms ofextreme water sports in which the surfer rides on the water on a board with a kite. At an altitude of 10-40 meters above the water, the kite flies higher than a windsurfer’s sail, which means it can catch more even and stable air currents. Surfers can ride the board on the water and use the power of the kite’s tension to perform jumps, tricks and figures in the air above the water. This sport combines gliding over the waves with a sense of flight, making it extremely exciting.

Kitesurfing is becoming more and more popular in Ukraine and specifically in Mykolayiv Oblast, with its natural advantages. Combining mild waves and a flat bottom with seasonal winds, Mykolayiv Oblast’s coastline is perfect for water sports, attracting surfers and tourists from all over Ukraine.

Water skiing, wakeboard

This type of surface water sport involves a motorboat pulling the skier across the water attached by a cable. The skier glides over the surface on two or one skis, depending on whether they want to slalom. Water skiing requires a sufficiently large body of relatively smooth water, skis, the right kind of rope and winch, three participants, and PFD. Of course, the water skier needs to be sufficiently strong and resilient, and have good sense of balance. Still, people of any age and level of training can easily enjoy this sport.

Fishing
